A bit about me and what I do

Welcome to Tom Best Craft: my world of wet-felted wool, colour, and one-to-one orders. At 42, I’m happily hand-making bespoke slippers and rugs here in Dorset.

When I was young I was diagnosed with a learning disability. Experts said I’d struggle with reading, writing, and living on my own. With a lot of effort, determination, and the support of my family, friends, and specialists, I’ve built the skills and confidence to run my own craft business, and I love what I do.

Every pair of slippers and every rug has its own story for the person who wears it or receives it as a gift. I enjoy matching colours, pictures, and little details to what matters to you, so you can have something made just for you that says something about you and what you love.
